What to Have Ready When You Call
Three things speed up every service call: what the unit is (walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, reach-in, prep table, or ice machine β brand and model if the data plate is readable), what it’s doing right now (current box temperature, any alarms or error codes, ice where ice shouldn’t be, water where water shouldn’t be), and whether it’s loaded with product. That last one matters most β a loaded walk-in drifting warm gets triaged ahead of everything else on the board.
If it’s after hours and the equipment is down with product inside: keep the doors closed, don’t chip at any ice you see on the coils, and if the breaker has tripped more than once leave it off β then call. We answer emergency calls across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and if we genuinely can’t beat your spoilage clock from New Bedford, we’ll say so on the phone instead of letting a truck ride eat your window.
For non-urgent work β maintenance plans, estimates, installations, or a second opinion on a repair quote someone else handed you β the same number and email work, and scheduled visits are typically available same-week throughout our core service area. Photos of the data plate and the problem area texted ahead of the visit often mean the right part is on the van the first time.
Hours, Response Times, and Who Answers
The phone is answered around the clock β emergencies get a live response any hour, while planned maintenance, estimates, and non-urgent repairs are scheduled into weekday service windows. When you call during the day you reach dispatch directly; after hours, the emergency line routes to the on-call path and real emergencies get a call back within minutes, not morning. Text works on the main number too β for non-urgent questions it’s often the fastest way to get an answer between service stops.
Response expectations, honestly stated: South Coast towns around New Bedford and Fall River usually see a tech the same day; the South Shore, Cape, and Providence metro are same-day for emergencies and next-window otherwise; and for anything farther out we quote the real timing on the phone before you commit to anything. Every visit ends with a written finding β what’s wrong, why, and what the fix costs β before any repair work begins, so the person who answers your call is never selling you something sight-unseen.
What We Service
Walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers (panels, doors, and the full refrigeration circuit), reach-in refrigerators and freezers, prep tables and pizza rails, undercounter units, glass-door merchandisers, and commercial ice machines of every configuration. Brand-wise we work on what Massachusetts and Rhode Island kitchens actually run β True, Turbo Air, Beverage-Air, Traulsen, Delfield, Victory, Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, Scotsman, Ice-O-Matic and the rest β with OEM parts stocked for the common failures. If your equipment isn’t on that list, call anyway: if it moves heat out of a box, it’s our trade.
